Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026

These terms govern your use of kolma.app, a platform for organising school communities. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

kolma.app is operated by a natural person resident in Spain.

1. The service

kolma.app provides tools for school communities to coordinate commissions, tasks, community hours, messaging, voting, space bookings, class management and event calendars. The service is offered in three tiers: Free, Escola and Escola Pro.

2. Accounts

3. Schools and roles

Each school on kolma.app is managed by its own administrators (school managers). They control membership, commissions, classes and school settings. kolma.app does not intervene in school governance decisions.

School managers are responsible for ensuring that the data entered about their community (student names, family information, etc.) is collected with the appropriate consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (messages, documents, images). By uploading content, you grant kolma.app a limited licence to store, display and transmit it as necessary to provide the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Pricing and payment

7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us at legal@kolma.app. If you have actively used the service during the withdrawal period, we may charge a proportional amount for the service received.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep kolma.app available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates or experience outages beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

9. Data and privacy

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using kolma.app, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.

10. How the activity feed is organised

The “Activity” area (visible on the dashboard and at /activity) shows a combined stream of community activity. We document the ordering logic here so you know exactly what the platform is surfacing to you and why.

What the feed shows. Three kinds of items: (a) tasks your community has recently completed (so you can thank the people who did them); (b) open tasks that need someone to pick them up; (c) photos uploaded to the school gallery.

How items are ordered. The default view (“All”) is strictly chronological by event time — newest first across all three kinds. When you filter to “Done” only, tasks you have not yet thanked appear before tasks you have already thanked, so the feed cycles forward after each action; within each of those two groups the order is still chronological. “Open tasks” and “Photos” views are strictly chronological.

Which open tasks you see. Open tasks are included when they belong to a commission you are a member of, or when their skill tags overlap with the skills you have listed in your profile. Tasks you are already assigned to are never shown in the feed.

Which tasks you don’t see.Tasks you were the sole assignee of are hidden from the “done” section — there is no one else to thank. Tasks closed more than 90 days ago are hidden by the default time window (you can extend this with the time filter).

Filters available. At /activityyou can filter by content type (All / Done / Open / Photo), time window (7d / 30d / 90d / all), commission, and — if you have skills set — “only tasks that match my skills”. Filter state is saved in the URL so you can share or reload.

No scoring or personalisation beyond the above. There is no engagement-maximising rank, no “what similar people liked”, no learned model. Every user sees the same content in the same chronological order subject only to the objective inclusion rules above.

Telemetry. Aggregated counters (views, dwell time, thanks, claims) are collected at the item level to help school managers understand how the feed is used. Individual user behaviour is not persisted. Details in our Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual property

kolma.app, its design, code and brand are the property of the operator. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the service without written permission.

12. Termination

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, kolma.app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Barcelona, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
